I'm surprised this barely got any attention. I don't believe for one second that this was done by an actual Earth First group. Shits too cold for that. Many people don't know how cold "cold" really is. Any decent human or organization wouldn't fuck people when it is freezing. This "eco-terrorist" attack would be partially believable if it didn't risk the survival of many innocents. Something this ballsy can only be an inside job to test the waters of a dark-winter on a minor scale before a larger rollout.
Pay is great. Could be a little better but it's not bad either. Work is definitely productive and bonuses each month are great as well. Pros Pto, Pay, Monday through Friday schedule Cons One late day shift one day of the week, work can be stressful depending on manager Ally has great compensation and benefits however the job itself can end up being in the politics of a bank. Some areas are better than others in the regard however. Ally has been so supportive during Covid. We never laid anyone off of a job nor was our pay cut. The flexibility they gave us has been amazing. It truly is a great company to work for - Pros Flexibility, great benefits and great pay Working at Ally has been one of the best blessings. After being here a year I can truly say that management, even the executives, care for every single employee and every thing they do is centered around "doing it right". Doing it right for customers and employees. I am proud of where I work and the culture Ally has created Pros Flexible hours, inclusive benefits, great leadership Cons Things can get busy but I always feel recognized and supported when they do Most if not all of my coworkers are extremely helpful and always willing to answer my questions.
I'm sure this sentiment has been voiced more than once in this sub. I grew up in northern NJ from infancy to adulthood, and I believe that NJ is massively underrated in the US as it's overshadowed by two major cities at its sides and certain generalizations. It's truly one of those places where you can find everything but in such a compact area, from the cultural diversity as you go literally from town to town, or even the diversity in nature and lifestyle, all very much within reach, but also that diversity doesn't come at the cost of being crammed into one big city, it's livable and there is room to breath. It's a really good balance between not being too far apart but also not being on top of each other. People complain about the turnpikes, but in my opinion NJ has one of the most impressive transportation infrastructure out of all the states, which make everything impressively interconnected. I've seen too many people who live in Jersey near NYC emphasize that they live "near NYC" rather than say they live in New Jersey.
