And basically tell me to eat low sugar and low carb (which I would tell him every visit that I already was) and scurry off to the next patient. I timed him once and he, ultrasound and all, only spent 30 seconds in the room with me before walking out and leaving the door open with me still in stirrups! The only reason I continued to see him is he was actually a really good doctor when I first started seeing him, and I have way too much benefit of the doubt. The last straw for me though the appointment actually started off fine and he sat and took the time to talk to me, looking at my chart and all. I told him I was dealing with pain and he said something along the lines of, "well, that's your endometriosis. " I should've questioned him but I didn't, I was pissed because I literally thought he had mixed my chart up with another patients'. He told me they didnt find endo so why would I question it? Just today I got my full medical record from the hospital where I had my surgery. I requested it for a totally different reason but decided to look through and saw the OR report.

Dairy products are not verboten, but The Zone diet devotes little time to them, except to explain how quickly they release glucose. Sears prefers egg whites and egg substitutes to whole eggs, and low-fat or no-fat cheeses and milk. The Zone diet keeps saturated fats to a minimum but includes olive, canola, macadamia nuts, and avocados. Certain unfavorable carbohydrates are restricted because they release glucose quickly: grains, breads, pasta, rice, and other similar starches, a deviation from conventional definitions of a good diet. Overall, the diet is higher in protein and fat than traditional diets, which would have us eat nearly three-quarters of all calories as carbohydrates. Sears is fairly rigid about the amount of protein/fat/carbohydrate each of us needs, and takes the reader through a short course in determining our protein need, based on size, age, and activity, which then determines the amount of fats and carbohydrates we should be eating. Happily for those of us who would be depressed at the thought of forgoing desserts for the rest of our lives, his list of allowable foods includes, among others, high-fat ice cream.
Craving good Neapolitan pizza, like Kestè or Ribalta in Manhattan. Any suggestion folks? Thanks This thread is archived New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast level 1 Macoletta is solid and never closed level 2 Love macoletta. My fav pizza joint level 2 Tried Macoletta twice when it first opened up with disappointing results and never went back. For real Neapolitan pizza, my go to is Basil Brick Oven on Astoria Blvd a block away from the station. The owners are from Naples and I've never had a bad meal there. level 1 Get a Margherita Pizza from the Palermo. You will not regret it. level 1 Nino's AQ does Neapolitan pizza. They use heirloom dough or something (my wife is gluten free and she was able to eat their pizza surprisingly). It's a bit pricey though but they are supporting hospitals and stuff too.
